SCRIPT WRITING
(i) Script writing (external - subcontract work, we do not
do it!).
We would normally strongly encourage the client to write their
own storyboard as they know their own business better than anyone
else and who also knows what they really want to achieve by
making an advertisement or promo.
Script Outline & Product Positioning
a. Determine Key Features And Benefits
b. Strongest Selling Proposition
c. Initial Discussions About Product Offer And Price
d. Determine Format For Commercial; Style, Tone, &
Format
e. General Locations
f. Initial Talent Review: Determine Talent Types, Older
Couple, Young Woman, Mommy Type, Etc.
Scripting Process
When you only have between 0-60 seconds or 120 seconds to
get viewers to put down the remote control and pick up the
phone - every second counts.
Pre-Production SCRIPTING STEP 1
a. Initial "Draft" Outline - Determine The
Structure Of The
Commercial Or Infomercial
b. Client Review Of Initial "Draft" Script
Or "Draft" Outline - Client
provides feedback. We make further changes.
Pre-Production SCRIPTING STEP 2
c. Changes as suggested by client will be made. Referred
to as "Second
Stage/Draft".
d. Client to Review "Second Stage/Draft",
feedback to be sent to us to
allow us to make further changes.
Pre-Production SCRIPTING STEP 3
e. Final changes and final review. A "Final Draft"
sample of video production
will be provided and sent to the client. Any changes from
this stage will
incur extra pre-production fees.
f. Client to Review "Final Draft" or Outline
and must submit to us in writing, notification of their approval.
g. Once "Final Draft" or the Outline has
been reviewed and approved
h. Initial Scripting will be compiled
i. Scripting begins based upon outline
Scripting Meeting & Review
'SCHILLER PRODUCTION' or '0-60 Seconds iNTELIVISION Commercial
Producers' will send copies of "First Draft" and
"Second Draft" of 'The Script' Based on Approvals
And Discussions from both sides.
